[Pkg-alsa-devel] Bug#286194: alsamixer: please add command-line control of startup mode

Package: alsa-utils
Version: 1.0.7-2
Severity: wishlist

Since 1.0.7 alsamixer starts up by default in Playback mode. This is
most annoying as I frequently want to mess with my capture devices. A
command-line option giving the mode (playback, capture or channels) to
start up in would be most useful.

BTW, the help screen implies in its description of RETURN that
channels mode is still the default, though that is no longer the case.
