I tried using the added drivers for bt87x (Bt878/Bt879 TV card audio).
I get the following (manual line break):
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure alsa-source
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at \
/var/lib/dpkg/info/alsa-source.config line 118, <STDIN> line 7.
and in /etc/alsa/alsa-source.conf
ifndef ALSA_CARDS
ALSA_CARDS="Bt878/Bt879 TV cards, emu10k1"
endif
which fails while compiling:
checking for which soundcards to compile driver for... \
Unknown soundcard Bt878/Bt879, exiting!

This got closed-as-NMU by accident. It was fixed in 1.0.2c-3, whose
changelog is included below:
alsa-driver (1.0.2c-3) unstable; urgency=low
.
* David B. Harris:
- Brown paper bag upload.
- debian/alsa-common.templates:
+ Put module name where it's supposed to be, instead of a descriptive
string. This broke debconf configuration for some people.
