I personally don't like using ALSA statically in the kernel, I much
prefer using a module-based configuration. The /etc/alsa/modutils/0.9
file in this case is irrelevant, it won't affect ALSA in anyway, since
you have compiled statically. One point to keep in mind is that some
modules aren't written to be compiled in statically, and won't work
unless they are compiled as a module. Would you mind recompiling the
kernel to have ALSA as modules?
