It looks like sox is using alsa kernel headers directly, which seems bad
to me. User space apps should be using alsa-lib. I made this compile
correctly using <alsa/asoundlib.h>.

Thomas and I are even wondering if we should drop alsa-headers entirely,
as it's possible its not even needed anymore...

Please test a compile using that include (I had to hack around
configure) and tell us if the play binary actually works. It did for me.
