Hello,

no, I'm using the esd-sink:
=====
luca@gismo:~$ cat .gconf/system/gstreamer/default/%gconf.xml
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<gconf>
        <entry name="audiosrc" mtime="1074779752" muser="luca"
type="string">
                <stringvalue>esdsrc</stringvalue>
        </entry>
        <entry name="audiosink" mtime="1084454044" muser="luca"
type="string">
                <stringvalue>esdsink</stringvalue>
        </entry>
</gconf>
luca@gismo:~$
=====

BTW, I found that if I delete the OSS modules, at boot when GDM starts I
don't have the sound notification, while with OSS modules I get it (and
the OSS modules are loaded). Why does GDM not use the ALSA modules?

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca
