Package: alsa-source
Version: 0.9.1-2

Initial state: ALSA drivers loaded, OSS synth driver in use.

  # invoke-rc.d alsa stop; modprobe emu10k1
Script refuses to unload the modules (which is fine); emu10k1 says "no such
device" (which is also fine, since snd-* are still loaded).

After killing the program which is using the synth:

  # invoke-rc.d alsa stop
  Shutting down ALSA sound driver (version 0.9.1): /etc/init.d/alsa: line 117: 6958 Segmentation fault /sbin/modprobe -r snd-$i-oss >/dev/null 2>&1
  done.
  #

ksymoops output is attached. The kernel and ALSA configurations are the same
as given in bug 183315.

ksymoops 2.4.8 on i686 2.4.20. Options used
     -V (default)
     -k /proc/ksyms (default)
     -l /proc/modules (default)
     -o /lib/modules/2.4.20/ (default)
     -m /boot/System.map-2.4.20 (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.

Warning (compare_ksyms_lsmod): module snd-pcm-oss is in lsmod but not in =
ksyms, probably no symbols exported

I am closing bug reports against alsa-source that are more than one year
old and that relate to upstream aspects of the package. The reports are
too old to be of any use now.
