[Pkg-alsa-devel] Alsa drivers for 2.6 kernel

Hello:

I don't know if this is the correct forum to ask this or 
perhaps this can be better addressed at debian-kernel . . .

I notice that in both stable (Sarge) and testing (Etch), the
only alsa-modules or alsa-drivers packages that are available
from the repository are for the 2.4 based kernels.

Is there any plans to have precompiled binaries for the alsa
drivers (modules) for the 2.6.8 or the 12.6.12 kernels?
