[Pkg-alsa-devel] Bug#291190: alsa-base: dmix settings in /etc/asound.conf

Package: alsa-base
Version: 1.0.7-2
Severity: wishlist

It would be really neat if the installation scripts had an option to set
up /etc/asound.conf to use dmix. A lot of people don't have hardware
mixing, applications not being able to output ALSA sound due to some
other application using it is definitely a FAQ on mailing lists. It also
takes quite a lot of googling to find the dmix solution.
