This device is already described
in /lib/discover/alsa-base.pci-device.xml.

This one is not described in /lib/discover/alsa-base.pci-device.xml. It
is described in /lib/discover/pci-device.xml and assigned the driver
emu10k1-gp. I think I recall someone saying that emu10k1-gp _does_ work
with ALSA drivers, but I am not sure. That is why it isn't blacklisted.

Try the following. _Instead_ of adding the entry you presented, modify
the lib/discover/alsa-base.pci-device.xml entry for 1102:0002 to this:

  <device model="0002" vendor="1102" model_name="SB Live! EMU10k1">
    <data class="linux">
      <data class="module" version="[2.2,inf)">
        <data class="name">snd-emu10k1-synth</data>
      </data>
    </data>
  </device>

See #246405.
