Do you mean that it is working when you install alsa-base 1.0.8-7 and
make _no_ changes, or that it is working when you install alsa-base
1.0.8-7 and add the "above snd-emu10k1 snd-emu10k1-synth" line
to /etc/modutils/alsa-base?
