Sorry, I was temporarily not receiving mail from the list.  Thank you
for reminding us about the bug reports.

The patches you supplied need to be applied upstream.  Please separate
the patch you supplied into two parts, one which adds support for
decimal separators other than '.', another which address the
problem "impossible to work with single channel of multichannel frame";
then submit these upstream at

    https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug

BTW, a workaround for the delimiter problem is to execute programs using
libasound2 with LANG=C.
