hello,
it's my first request to GNU/linux's developper, so i'm not sure to give the
good way to ask.
(sorry for my english if it's bad, i'm french)
I begin by make thanks for you because your work is great.

My request is this:
I've a laptop "Acer Aspire 1642ZWMLi" and it's equiped with a chipset ALC883 or
ALC882, i don't know because dmesg give me this:
hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC882, trying auto-probe from BIOS...
and
# cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0
Codec: Realtek ALC883

So, the problem is that i've no sound, and with searching on web, i discovered
that is implemented in the last ALSA 1.0.12 .

Is it possible to you to make a package with the last version of ALSA
(1.0.12-rc2) for make work it?
