ld10k1 clears the emu10k1/emu10k1 DSP during startup and loads the 
states from /var/lib/alsa/ld10k1.state if it's available. The sound card 
is more or less unusable if it isn't initialized from ld10k1.state or 
using for example init_audigy or init_live. The ld10k1 init script saves 
the current state to ld10k1.state during shutdown.

Maybe ld10k1 should be disabled by default?
