On Mon, 08 May 2006 the mental interface of
kronos at kronoz.cjb.net told:
> Package: alsa-utils
> Version: 1.0.11-2
> Severity: normal
> I've already reported this issue upstream but got no replay.
In that case we would do the same, though.

> Kernel is 2.6.17-rc1, this is the soundcard:
1. This Kernel isn't uploaded to Debian repos -> no official support
2. Please build your card driver out of alsa-source 1.0.11-1
Report your test here and let us know about the progress of your
alsa bug report. Which is the #?

I've noticed some abnormal behaviour of via82xx in the past. Please
have a look at the alsa bts (search for via82xx).
The path to source is always uphill!
