[Pkg-alsa-devel] Bug#369057: libasound2 1.0.11-5 breaks mplayer no movies play, I had to downgrade to 1.0.11-4 via http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2006/05/20/debian/pool/main/a/alsa-lib/ to fix it

 I'm using sid I dist-upgraded and it gave me the latest libasound2(1.0.11-5)
and it broke mplayer. No movies play and I get the error "relocation error:
mplayer: symbol snd_pcm_hw_params_set_channels_near, version ALSA_0.9.0rc4
not defined in file libasound.so.2 with link time reference" from mplayer ..
I went to http://snapshot.debian.net and downgraded back to 1.0.11-4 and
everything works fine. I know mplayer isn't in debian. So if I was wrong in
filing this bug sorry...just ignore it then.

I am running i386 so to fix this problem of mplayer not playing movies(I
watch a lot of movies) I just did this...
