So the Debian libasound2-dev header matches the 2.6.18 kernel that Debian is
shipping, and only segfaults when using 2.6.19?  That doesn't sound 'grave'
to me; if anything, it sounds like a bug in 2.6.19 for changing interfaces
in ways that break userspace.
