Package: alsa-utils
Version: 1.0.14-1
Severity: normal

Hash: SHA1
At a very last stage of alsaconf, it complains:
- --- 8< ---
Loading driver...
Usage: /etc/init.d/alsa
{unload|reload|force-unload|force-reload|suspend|resume}
Setting default volumes...
amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such device
- --- 8< ---
The init script does not accept 'restart' argument as passed by
alsaconf (/usr/sbin/alsaconf, line 992).
As a quick hack, I try changing it to 'reload', and the first error
is gone. But the second one remains. I need to manually modprobe the
sound driver (snd-intel8x0m for my machine) to use sound.
