[Pkg-alsa-devel] Tascam US-122 on etch with alsa

Hello there,

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I'm having trouble 
finding the relevent info.

I'm wanting to use my US-122 on my debian etch system using alsa, I have no 
problem getting the card installed using fxload for the firmware (from 
Demudi) then usx2yloader to fire up the card. But I don't know how to make 
alsa firstly recognise the card, [# aplay -l] doesn't show the card, but [# 
cat /proc/asound/cards] does.

So I need to figure out how to configure alsa to firstly use the card, then 
how to make it default when connected.

Any tips on where to start, or where to start looking for info on alsa under 
etch?

Any help anyone could offer would be appreciated.
