My apologies, I marked it as grave on mplayer, and no one complained,
so I assumed it met the criteria. I'm sorry about the error.

I tried using xmms to play a few different files. Same problem as the  
other applications; it stopped responding.

I though alsa was the part of the kernel that provided sound. Should  
this be re-filed with kernel-source,
or some similar package?
