Why does alsa put it's script in /etc/apm and not in /etc/power?

I've removed the alsa suspend/resume script, too and now my problems with
muting are gone. Until now, every time my iBook resumed the sound was
muted whether of it's state on suspend. After I disabled the script, the
sound is working after resume without the need to unset the mute state.

Bye, Jörg.
