Please update to

alsa-base 1.0.17.dfsg-1
linux-sound-base 1.0.17.dfsg-1
udev 0.125-6

all from sid.

An advantage would be to install Debian kernel 2.6.26 and have a
/etc/modprobe.d/sound as suggested.

This constellation works great here ;)
An overall advantage is always to run sid.
