Please send us the output of the following conmmands:

As user:
$ id
$ lsmod | grep snd
$ cat /proc/asound/cards

Please unmute all relevant controls within alsamixer and meke sure
your hardware (loudspeakers) are connectect correct to your
Pavilion.
