Package: alsa-source
Severity: important
The sound card of my laptop is a HDA Intel, chip Intel G45 DEVCTG
The PC beeps do not work correctly.
With older kernels it was just that the frequency of the beeps was not
correct and that the volume could not be configured; with 2.6.32 the console
bell is just a very ugly sound.
This is important for me because, as a blind user, I make heavy use of
console beeps of varous frequencies to report various events.
