My opinion is that this would be nice, but is not critical. People
compiling mainline kernels will probably be getting a newer ALSA anyway.
I'd only consider critical building or not against official Debian header
packages.

Thanks for making the effort for alsa-driver!

I had been looking into updating alsa-lib myself. In the process, I
thought that providing upstream's ChangeLog like we do now is too much of
a waste of time; it's nice to provide it, but if ALSA doesn't provide one,
we shouldn't be doing the cutn'pasting ourselves. One less thing to deal
with when doing new versions. What do you think, Elimar?
