Hmm, the system doesn't kow anything about a soundcard. It seems to
be a hardware issue. Did you checked your BIOS settings? Is your
soundcard, if it's an pci plugged one, fitted right on the mainboard.
If it is an usb one is it plugged in correct?

It is neither a bug from any alsapackage nor a bug from linux-2.6.
