I can't find anything regarding the CS46XX in the Changelog.

On the other hand i can't understand such a hard DFSG-restriction in 
this case.
There is NO COPYRIGHT on the driver sources.
It's only A MISSING RIGHT for redistribution!

I already have written to Cirrus Logic to give this right for 
redistribution.
There is no answer up to now, but in fact i believe the problem is that 
this older chips are completely out of scope for Cirrus.

When you would include the sources again, i will write to Cirrus until i 
get an answer?

Sorry - i believe this is nonsense - because the card is working after i 
downloaded the firmware sources from kernel.org and compiled them for 
myself.
Analog sound is working fine - just the IEC859 is missing.
I think it is the missing configuration of it?

I see no reason to close a bug for hardware that is still in use.
When you are the opnion this is justified because the hardware is to 
old, then Linux become as usable as Windows.
There the chip has no driver since Windows Vista.
