Excuse me for my poor English :-)

Please note that after fixing bug 614113 we will have possibility to change default audio device by rewriting /etc/asound.conf. 

For example for HDA-Intel card:
defaults.ctl.card Intel
defaults.pcm.card Intel
defaults.timer.card Intel
....card Intel

For USB-Audio:
defaults.ctl.card U0x46d0x8b2
defaults.pcm.card U0x46d0x8b2
defaults.timer.card U0x46d0x8b2
.... card U0x46d0x8b2

It will very easy to write some GUI for this.
