My sound card is:

00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 60)

I can listen something only with the speakers on the left. The speakers on the right are muted.
The sound for left and right channels are reproduced on the left side.

On Lenny al works well.
