In my m14x, the subwoofer was working one month while using 2.6.39 or so
therefore giving a very good audio quality, after the full-upgrade to 3.0.0
it stopped working.
At that time, only the subwoofer would mute when I plugged the headphones
(other popular bug out there), now the speakers mute but the subwoofer
doesn't work at all so the audio quality sucks. I don't know others, but
I'd prefear a good audio quality...
I tried with some of the solutions out there, but neither work
options snd-hda-intel model=[dell,3stack-6ch-dig,dell-zm1,auto,basic,...]
There is no codec for the ALC665 listed here
/usr/share/doc/alsa-base/driver/HD-Audio-Models.txt.gz
But it is in the official package provided by realtek (which doesn't compile
with linux 3.0.0).
