Yes, I did play around with alsamixer moving the controls for headphone,
speaker and PCM, neither enabled the subwoofer, only the normal speakers
where affected.

I think it was using 3stack-6ch-dig that I got some more controls including
"life" or "soul" or something like that but it didn't enable the
subwoofer either.
