Hmm, this sounds like a intelligent copy too? Changes you can study
in /usr/share/doc/$package/changelog.Debian.gz. Given that you know
which package causes the bug.

What do you mean with "reinstall ALSA drivers"? I am not aware of a
Debian package including ALSA drivers others than the kernel.

$ lsmod | grep snd
$ aplay -l
$ aplay -L

with the stable ones?
