[Pkg-alsa-devel] SOLVED: no sound - debian6 + xfce on a E35M1-M mainboard (snd-hda-intel)

 As it usually is when going to the doctor: 
   all the problems mystically dissapeared.......
        
 By making a new file:
 
 vi ~/.asoundrc
 
       with the lines:
 
 pcm.!default {
     type hw
    card 1
 }
 
 ctl.!default {
     type hw       
     card 1
 }
 
 It solved the problem and sound came out of the boxes
 
 So it was indeed the first HDMI audio device that caused the
 trouble.
 Anyway, I hope my mail was in some way usable feedback for alsa on a E35M1-M
