Package: libasound2-plugins
Version: 1.0.25-2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I tried installing libasound2-plugins:i386 in an amd64 system, and got
this error message:
-----
$ sudo apt-get install libasound2-plugins:i386
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libasound2-plugins:i386 : Depends: libavcodec53:i386 (>= 6:0.8.2-2) but it is not going to be installed or
libavcodec-extra-53:i386 (>=6:0.8.2-2) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
-----
I searched for error messages like that online, and solutions like
apt-get clean or apt-get update didn't fix anything. When I tried
installing the dependencies manually, I get errors like these:
-----
$ sudo apt-get install libavcodec53:i386
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
