Package: alsa-utils
Version: 1.0.28-1
Followup-For: Bug #755726

Dear Maintainer,

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
     arecord -d 10 tst
   * What was the outcome of this action?
     writing a correct tst.wav for 10 seconds
After 10 seconds, instead of exiting, arecord writes indefinitely
files containing no sound: tst-01.wav, tst-02,wav,... 44 bytes each.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
I expect arecord to exit after 10 seconds.
