Running linux-image-3.16.0-4-amd64_3.16.7-ckt20-1+deb8u2 and a
Realtek ALC892 the Auto-Mute switch is available, though.

What we can do is to redirect this bug to your kernel image as the
drivers are no more part of alsa packages and maintained by the
kernel team?
