libasound2-data doesn't need /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf.d. So it
won't be installed, though.

Hmm. You have 2 chances to get what you want:

1. Create /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf.d by hand.
2. Ask the crouton people to create /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf.d
   during the install if not available.

The most reasonable way would be 2.

Debian doesn't support crouton so I have to close this bug, Done
hereby.
