Hi Elimar,

I have the same problem: sound has always worked, until installing 1.1.7 
version.  With 1.1.7 I have to write the .asoundrc file to make sound 
work.  This happens on both my laptops.

I might be wrong, but it seems to me that the problem has nothing to do 
with udev...  Do all Debian users (at least those with Intel sound card) 
need to write the .asoundrc file to make sound work again?

Reopening, since I use unstable and 1.1.7-3 does not work without 
.asoundrc file.
