Package: alsa-utils
Version: 1.1.8-2
Severity: normal

Hello,

When running Debian inside qemu with -soundhw ac97, the sanify_levels
command fails to set mic to 0:

# . /usr/share/alsa/utils.sh
# sanify_levels all
amixer: Invalid command!
amixer: Invalid command!

Digging in the script, it's this command produced by the script which
fails:

# amixer -c 0 -q set Mic 0% mute
amixer: Invalid command!

in alsamixer, this level is indeed not changeable. Perhaps this error
should be filtered out by filter_amixer_output too?
