Package: libasound2
Version: 1.2.4-1.1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

I'd like to request for this package to be backported to stable. Some
machines, like Lenovo Chromebook N23 Yoga (mt8173-elm-hana), depend on
UCM files to have working audio, and the UCM file for them is only
available in more recent versions of alsa-ucm-conf. Since these newer
UCM files also use more recent syntax versions (Syntax 4, and up to 6),
a newer libasound2 is also needed. So by backporting both libasound2 and
alsa-ucm-conf we can get audio working on these machines running stable.

Thanks,
Nícolas
