Hi,
I was curious to see if/how AppArmor usage in Debian was evolving, so
I played a bit with the popcon web interface. The most interesting
graph I came up with is:
https://qa.debian.org/popcon-graph.php?packages=apparmor&show_installed=on&show_vote=on&show_old=on&show_recent=on&show_nofiles=on&want_legend=on&want_ticks=on&from_date=2013-06-15&to_date=2014-10-31&hlght_date=&date_fmt=%Y-%m&beenhere=1
=> over the course of the last 1.5 years, the number of AppArmor users
in Debian was multiplied by about 2.5 (both in terms of "installed"
and "vote"). Yay!
Also, this graph gives us an idea of how many of those users are using
testing/sid (since python3-apparmor is not in Wheezy):
https://qa.debian.org/popcon-graph.php?packages=python3-apparmor
... which should be compared (since python3-apparmor is pulled by
apparmor-utils, and not all AppArmor users have the latter installed)
with:
https://qa.debian.org/popcon-graph.php?packages=apparmor-utils&show_installed=on&show_vote=on&show_old=on&show_recent=on&show_nofiles=on&want_legend=on&want_ticks=on&from_date=2013-06-15&to_date=2014-10-31&hlght_date=&date_fmt=%Y-%m&beenhere=1
=> 14% of Debian users who have apparmor-utils installed (that is,
more likely those who actually play with AppArmor a bit more than
others) are using testing/sid. I expected this number to be higher, so
I'm surprised.
Cheers,
