Well, if it disappears, then your packaging VCS history essentially
becomes "one big commit per upload". As you wish of course, but there
are plenty of reasons why having smaller commits in a VCS is useful :)

FWIW we're sharing the Debian packaging history as atomic commits in
our Vcs-Bzr, and I would not want pkg-apparmor-team to stop
doing that.

Yes: I want to merge your full packaging history with the finest
granularity available. This makes it easier to understand changes and
resolve conflicts.
