Thanks for the clarification!

I was wondering because the release notes tell me 3.0 is special in
some way, and that "special-ness" implies it will be short lived:

Apprmor 3.0 is a bridge release between older AppArmor 2.x policy
and the newer AppArmor 3 style policy which requires the declaration
of a features abi. As such AppArmor 3.0 will be a short lived
release, and will not receive long term support.

So, I guess I still don't understand what's the fundamental difference
between 3.0 and 3.1, apart of the lack of long-term support, which
appears to be a mere consequence of that fundamental difference.

Do you know?

Cheers!
