Hello team,
I was running ubuntu until unity apparition and then decided to switch
to Debian.
I then did a migration of my system software quite easy to Debian 7.x.
Last month I did a migration server (hardware this time) to an other new
one running a new and clean Debian 8 installation.
I use Bacula and MariaDb and when I tried to install Bacula,
apt/synaptic want to remove mariaDB and replace it by MySql but there is
no Bacula mariaDB specific into Debian distrib. I just discoverd the bug
#732879.
So I had to modify the existing Bacula-MySql packages to creates the
same ones running MariaDB
(not a big work, just modify dependencies and rename packages where
mysql is specified to mariadb) and it works like a charm.
l can see this bug is dated from 22nd of december 2013 but cannot find
any updated status of it.
Please, could you tell me if something is planned to fix it?
Thanks for your time.
Kind regards,
Philippe
