Presuming this is Python 3.9 in some form? There were importlib
changes there that perhaps break the machinery we use to test the
plugins code - which includes creating new module objects, sticking
them in sys.path and also writing little bits of python to disk and
expecting import to pick them up. Nothing from the traceback seems
wrong or unreasonable. Alternatively it may just be the tempdir stuff
falling over under the debian test isolation in some form. No obvious
fix without looking deeper I'm afraid!
