[pkg-boinc-devel] "Cannont resolve hostname" problem

Hello, all.

I have been having good luck running the Alioth Debian package of Boinc on my 
two machines, one Debian Sarge and one Ubuntu Breezy. However I noticed today 
that on my Ubuntu box -- which is the much faster computer of the two -- it 
had not reported back to the control server in over a day. It had been 
running just fine for quite a while.

I have it set to work on World Community Grid (the IBM project) and the 
servers usually have very good uptime. I was very surprised to see in the 
logfile that it had not been reporting because supposedly it cannot resolve 
the hostname. This doesn't make sense, since I can connect to the host 
(secure.worldcommunitygrid.com) just fine using my web browser.

And the other (Debian) computer on the same network has no problem connecting. 
It's just this one system having the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions what I should try? I'm pretty stumped.
