5.8 will be included into Ubuntu automatically after it is uploaded to Debian 
unstable which will happen after Debian etch is released.
It could be included earlier if any Ubuntu developer would upload 5.8 from our 
experimental branch to Feisty manually. You could ask the MOTU Science team 
(https://launchpad.net/~motuscience) if someone is interested in uploading 
5.8 to Feisty.
