Install the boinc-dbg package and then run boinc_client with the GNU Debugger 
gdb. This page http://wiki.debian.org/HowToGetABacktrace has some detailed 
instructions how to run gdb. And make sure to shut down the system-wide 
boinc_client by invoking "/etc/init.d/boinc-client stop" while you are 
debugging. If you need further instructions don't hesitate to ask us.
