Bug#540461: boinc-client is making machine to freeze on amd64

Hello !

I experienced the same problems, when running boinc-client (boincmgr) on two AMD64
machines. After a while when doing the calculation the machine "freezes", the only
solution to restore access is to reboot it. I have tested this with Boinc projects,
like climateproduction.net and worldcommunitygrid.org. Doing calculation on other
platforms works without problems (i686).
