I'm with Rene here. BOINC related packages should be maintained under the
umbrella of the Debian BOINC Maintainers and I invite you to handle this
package as part of the team. You know that Steffen (or I?) added you to the
pkg-boinc project two (or three?) years ago, so you already have the required
permissions to use its infrastructure (Git repositores etc.).
BTW: I'm very interested how well (if at all) update-boinc-applinks copes with
other applications.
