sorry, but I needed to comment on this one. If it is just a year old,
then this is not "very, very old".

I have working Ubuntu packages on jaunty and karmic, running mostly
worldcommunitygrid.org. What is it that you need some "downloadable .sh
file" for? It just needs apt-get install boinc-manager boinc-client.
